- Lot Description
First half of 20th century. Rococo Revivial style two-tiered onyx and brass stand with thick rectangular onyx top surrounded by egg and dart border accented at corners with pierced scrolled foliates and leaf tip finials supported four rectangular legs, lower tier with onyx surface and similar motif at corners, terminating on outswept scrolled legs with leaf tip decoration. Unmarked. Overall approximate height 32.5", width 19", depth 16".
Condition
Structurally sound. There is a chip to the top slab of onyx towards the underside; not distracting. There is a split to one of the metal supports does not appear to affect structure. Some discoloration/oxidation to the brass finish.
