Austrian, Early 20th century. Collection of two Geschutzt cold painted bronze figural inkwells in the form of dogs comprising of a terrier with red tasseled collar; and a dachshund with gold chain-linked collar. Each with hinged head that opens to reveal recessed niche for storing ink. Both marked on back with impressed "GESCHUTZT". Dachshund approximate height 4", width 4.75", depth 3". Terrier approximate height 3.9", width 2.1", depth 4.125".
Both inkwells are in very good condition. Hinges open and close smoothly. Neither contain a liner for the ink. Very minor wear to the paint.
