French, late 19th/ early 20th century. A collection of two diminutive enameled vases of bottle form each depicting a courtly maiden in a landscape on tondo, each with a country scene across water to opposite side of figure. One signed "M. Pozi", one signed "Sylve". Each approximate height 4.375" tall. Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Vase with seated woman with "15211" etched into bottom with light surface scratches commensurate with age and shelf use, light wear to gilt elements. Vase with standing young maiden with small ding on bottom and small surface scratches to metal on base commensurate with age and shelf use. Vase also with two areas where it was likely dropped--one to right of signature in a cloud or floral shape with enamel losses and cracking, another area in the shape of an oval with two areas with enamel loss on crack lines, vase also with small but seemlingly stable hairline fracture on red border above foot. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
