Likely English, late 19th century. 2 Victorian art glass rose bowls comprising a mother of pearl rainbow diamond quilt satin glass rose bowl; the other with yellow interior color, the exterior with vertical lines and horizontal ribs in a blue-green, resting on three colorless applied legs. Both with 8 crimps and finished pontil, apparently unmarked. Approximate height of rainbow bowl 2.8", diameter of mouth 4.3", height of footed bowl 4.4", diameter of mouth 3.75". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Both bowls are in very good condition. The diamond quilt bowl has small included bubbles (under surface). There are a couple minor specks of inclusions. Interior bottom center has approximately 4 very small surface bubbles or pin pricks. The yellow interior rose bowl has minor scattered small included bubbles (under surface). Legs have minute chips and flakes observable with loop. One leg does appear to have been slightly ground down although bowl sits flat. No other chips, cracks or repairs noted. Possibly Bohemian.
