Chinese, Late 19th/Early 20th century, possibly earlier. Group of two similar but unmatched export porcelain plates in rose medallion pattern comprising of one with butterflies, bird, pink peonies and fruit on center tondo surrounded by a border with similar motif on gold ground, unmarked, diameter approximately 9.75"; the other with birds, butterflies and insects flying around bamboo and flowers on center tondo surrounded by birds, and flowers on gold ground, unmarked, diameter approximately 9.5". Each with Christie's auction house labels, additional Christie's labels on wooden plate stands.
Both plates have slight wear to enamel. One plate has a couple of minute flea bites along the rim, however, not easily found or noticeable. All wear commensurate with age.
