Towle Silversmiths (American (Massachusetts), founded 1882). A 66-piece sterling silver flatware set in the "Old Lace" pattern (1939-2009) comprising eight five-piece place settings plus additional place setting pieces and serving pieces. Set comprises 8 dinner forks (7.5"), 8 new French hollow knives with stainless blades (8.875"), 8 iced tea spoons (8.125"), 8 round bowl soup spoons (6.5"), 12 teaspoons (6.125"), 12 individual salad forks (7.75"), 3 tablespoon serving spoons (8.5"), 1 pierced tablespoon serving spoon (8.5"), 1 medium solid cold meat serving fork (8"), 1 solid gravy ladle (6.75"), 1 sugar spoon (5.875"), 1 solid master butter knife (6.875"), and 1 two-piece carving set with stainless blade and fork (knife 10.375", fork 9"). Each piece with maker's mark, "STERLING" and "Old Lace". Total approximate weight (less standard allotment for stainless blades) 87.9 troy ounces. Set in a stained wood case branded "Reed & Barton Pacific". Accompanied with appraisal performed by Joseph P. Brady of Atlanta, Georgia dated October 9, 2013 valuing the set at $3.085.00".
Each piece exhibiting surface scratches and minor dings commensurate with use. Some pieces exhibiting tarnishing or oxidation, but no apparent pitting. No bent fork tines or missing elements. No apparent monograms or removals.
