Tiffany & Co. (American (New York), founded 1837). French late 19th century Aiguilles gilt bronze and beveled glass cased carriage clock with three turned accents at top center of hinged handle. White rectangular enamel clock face with two dials, larger top circular dial with black Roman numerals markers with outer ring in black Arabic numerals, all surrounding "TIFFANY & CO". Back of movement with French script engraved words identifying parts, also marked "Aiguilles" for maker. Overall approximate height (with handle raised) 6.5", width 3.5", depth 3.125".
Clock winds and is in working condition but is running slow. Would recommend servicing. The five glasses appear original, with minor scratching to surface commensurate with age, the front glass slightly loose, the right side glass with interior chip at lower left. Oxidation to gilt bronze commensurate with age with some build-up in recessed lines of case and handle. Enamel clock face and inscriptions apparently original and untouched aside from a small area of loss to bottom of "C" in "Tiffany & Co."
