- Lot Description
Tiffany & Co. (American (New York), founded 1837), circa 1928-56. A four piece sterling silver demitasse service comprising coffee pot, creamer, lidless sugar, and round serving gray, the teapot with ebonized wood handle, each piece with etched floral bands and hanging bell flower garlands. Teapot approximate height 9.25", sugar height 3.5", creamer height 4.125", tray diameter 12". Total approximate weight 49.8 troy ounces.
Condition
Pitting to interior of coffee pot. Exterior of pot with minor pitting around rim of lid, handle mounts and foot. Minor scratches and a couple small dimples on body. Loose mounts on the handle. Ebonized handle has been refreshed with overpainting running onto the sterling collars. Creamer with minor pitting around rim. Tray with numerous surface scratches on both sides commensurate with age and usage.
