German, first half 20th century. Collection of three engine turned guilloche enamel and silver diminutive boxes with hand painted butterfly and floral motif comprising of a round pill or dresser box with blue butterfly amid small white floral sprigs, marked on interior rim "GERMANY STERLING"; a hinged box of round compact form with white to yellow butterfly amid cherry blossoms, marked on interior rim on underside of top "935 BADEN"; and a diminutive box with hinged lid ornamented with yellow butterfly amid white cherry blossoms, marked "935" on underside. Blue butterfly lidded box approximate height 1.4", diameter 2.4". Yellow butterfly with purple blossom box approximate height 0.90", diameter 2.8". Yellow butterfly box approximate height 2", diameter 2.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
All boxes in very good condition. Each open and close smoothly. All are very clean. Very minor oxidation to the hinges.
