Steve Noggle (American (North Carolina), Contemporary). Large hand turned wood center bowl or charger in striking ambrosia maple burled wood. Signed on bottom and inscribed with type of wood used. Diameter approximately 21.75". Provenance: Ariel Craft Gallery, Asheville, North Carolina whereby acquired by the Estate of Mr. Joseph Gilbert of Atlanta, Georgia in 2012.
Overall with natural imperfections to wood commensurate with material. Scattered minor surface scratches and tiny dings commensurate with handling and not distracting. Foot with scattered minor losses to rim, possibly original to piece, stable. No cracks or repairs noted.
