Frederick Carder (English, 1863-1963) for Steuben Glass Works (American, founded 1903), circa 1903-1932. An acid cut back vase in green jade over alabaster, shape #6078, displaying the "Matzu" pattern with notched mouth above a bulbous shaped body decorated with aged Ming trees and cloud scroll floating overhead. Apparently unsigned. Approximate height 7", diameter of mouth 4.75". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Overall good condition. There are scattered elongated as well as small included bubbles and seed bubbles (under surface). A couple of bubble bursts at surface in floral decoration. There is a very fine scratch to finish not easily seen. Wear to base is commensurate with age and contact with surface.
