Chinese, 20th century. A small deep brown-purple Yixing Zisha pottery teapot of globular form with smooth and uncarved sides, with c form handle opposing a downturned spout, the round lid with ball form finial. Marked to underside with impressed calligraphic marks within a square cartouche, and to inside of lid with impressed calligraphic marks within a rectangular cartouche. Approximately 4" tall, 5.5" spout to handle.
Overall good condition. There are a couple of minor chips to the interior lid at the neck (see image 5).
