Attributed to Vladimir Kagan (American, b. 1927-). Set of six modern "Cubist" black wooden framed upholstered dining chairs with textured cream colored rectangular seat and back on a minimal black frame with rectangular framed back and joined legs of rectangular form. Unmarked. Armchair approximate overall height 34", width 23.125", depth 24", seat to floor 19.75". Side chair approximate overall height 32.75", width 17.125", depth 24.25", seat to floor 19.5".
All chairs are structurally sound. All show signs of discoloration, fading or staining to cream colored upholstery. There are scattered nicks and scratches with some lacquer loss particularly to the leg not overly distracting and wear is commensurate with age and usage. One chair with missing screw to the seat cushion.
