Chinese, 19th century. Set of four Chinese Export rose medallion decorated porcelain cylindrical canisters, each with fitted lid with courtly scene on top above floral and leaf band on gilt ground, body with light green C scroll borders containing alternating medallions with courtly figures and floral and fruit sprays with birds, red borders throughout. All unmarked. The largest approximate height 4.5", diameter 3.75". The smallest approximate height 1.75", diameter 1.6". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Ms. Kathleen Morrison, Alpharetta, Georgia.
Enamels in excellent condition with little to no wear. Each with light wear to rims with some small fleabites and bottoms commensurate with light use and handling. Second smallest canister with U shaped repair on body, visible under black light examination. Third largest with a couple small radiating fractures visible on bottom, appears to be stable. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
