Chinese, 18th/19th century. A set of four small dishes or low bowls of round form in the Mandarin style, each with a group of courtly figures in a garden setting to center tondo surrounded to cavetto with a field of pink diaper patterning punctuated with shaped floral and landscape cartouches. Unmarked. Approximate diameter 5.5", height 1.25".
Overall with inconspicuous flea bites to rims. Two with tight fractures occurring at rim. Two with small chips to rim. One with tight fracture occurring at underside. One with crazing to glaze at underside. Wear to all feet as would be expected with age and use.
