Cavalier Furniture Company (American (Chattanooga, TN), founded 1923-2000), c. 1950s. A pair of two walnut veneer dressers, the molded top surmounting a drawer facade with five long drawers decorated with recessed brass trimmed rectangular pulls, all raised on four rectangular walnut legs joined by a stretcher with coved edges. Label inside top drawer reads "Cavalier Fine Furniture Since 1865". Approximate height 44", width 38", depth 21".
Both dresser structurally sound. Scattered areas of wear to both dressers, with areas of dullness to finish and minor scratches to top, commensurate with age and usage. All drawers open and close with ease. One dresser with small chips to veneer and missing veneer piece to the fourth drawer face. Also with separation to veneer on back. Other dresser with two possible burn marks to top and slight water ring. Also with scratch to top drawer face.
