- Lot Description
American, circa 2000s. A set of 8 Louis XIII style throne dining chairs, including 2 arm and 6 side, each having a crested, upholstered back in red with gold velvet, a brown leather seat, and a carved seat rail and cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet, with incurvate rear legs, the arm chairs with scrolled handholds. Manufacturer's label to underside of seat. Approximate height 46.5", width 18.75", seat depth 19.5", seat to floor 19". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Dwight David Howard, American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association.
Condition
Some wear commensurate with age and use. Overall clean and not old. Some scratching, nicks, and dings from use to wood overall (worming and some dings and scratches are purposeful and inherent to design, finish, and effect of wood from manufacture). Some scratching to seats from use. Upholstery is clean with only some wear. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
