Silver age 1958 Seeburg Model 161 Jukebox with twin grill fins, visable mech contained within a narrow dimension cabinet with 160 selections which became the industry standard. Features EP (Extended Play) record play using a dual pricing unit. This is Seeburg’s first 160 selection unit and is relatively rare with less than 2,000 of them made. In comparison, nearly 39,000 of the 1953 model “C” were built. It was introduced in January of 1958, and sold to jukebox operators for $1275. Serial #6650. Height 55.5", width 30.25", depth 27".
Overall very good condition. There are a couple of scratches to the glass front. There is a scratch to the right side finish. There is lifting to the finish on the left side near bottom. Typical wear and scratches on metal finish. Selection mechanism moves correctly with no hesitation. There are a couple of records the mechanism will not play. The speaker and amplifier are in good working condition, however, you can hear cracking when the volume gets too loud.
