Rufino Tamayo (Mexican, 1899-1991), "Femme au collant rose" from the Mujeres Suite-1969, color lithograph on wove paper, publsiedh by Touchstone, New York and printed by Desjobert, New York, pencil signed lower right margin, "H.C" in pencil lower right margin. Modern figural print work depicting a standing woman at center with long hair under hat, rounded breasts, and clasped hands over stomach. Figure dressed in grey and black in a vacant setting with wood planked floors, round grey to black ball and grey architectural archway. Framed approximately 39.25" x 30.75". Sheet size approximately 30" x 22.5".
Work not examined out of frame. Appears to be loose and slightly slipping to bottom of matting. Deckled edges on all sides, with evidence of light handling, most apparent in corners. Also with mild creasing and darkening. Light even toning to sheet. No signs of foxing. Work does not appear to have been cut down. No signs of rips, tears, or holes. Colors are rich and vibrant with no signs of fading.
