Royal Dux (Bohemian, founded 1860), circa 1900-1918. A large and impressive Art Nouveau porcelain centerpiece basket or bowl, model 707, with two beautiful nymphs leaning toward each other over the ovular bowl and forming a central handle, the organically shaped bowl decorated to exterior with reticulated swirling organic forms and applied flowers and leaves hand painted in tones of peach, pink, and green with gilt accents. Marked to underside with applied pink triangle maker's mark and raised rectangle bearing shape number. Approximate height 11.75", width 15", depth 10.5". Provenance: Property from the Collection of Richard and Merle Haber sold at Heritage Auctions, Dallas, Texas, June 19, 2015, as part of lot 62178, whereby acquired by a private collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
Overall very good condition. Piece would benefit from cleaning. Minor surface scratches to the bisque figures. No cracks or repairs noted.
