- Lot Description
Roman Chatov (American (Georgia), 1900-1987). "Nude Figure Study", charcoal on paper, signed lower left of center. A simple figural study depicting a nude woman at center standing in full length, one leg bent at the knee with foot resting on other knee as leg turns out, her torso bent leftward with both arms gracefully sweeping forward with a cloth in her hands as her hair falls over her face. Sheet size approximately 24" x 18".
Condition
Original sketch pad sheet with perforated edge to top of work, sheet attached to mat board with hinging tape at top left and top right with the right side being detached without damaging the paper. Even toning to sheet within area of mat with slight mat burn. Slight foxing to upper left of sheet outside matrix. A small round water stain upper left outside matrix. Rippling to sheet from handling.
