Roger Prince (American, 20th century), "Five Men in Hats"-1964, patinated bronze sculpture, incised with Prince 64" on back of base. Modern figural sculpture depicting five men in business attire including hats, button-down shirts, ties and top coats in a close group or cluster, each standing on thin legs, one figure holding briefcase, all supported on square base. Overall approximate height 18" x 10.125" square. Note: Prince has exhibited throughout the Northeast including Maine and New York at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
Sculpture structurally sound with no apparent cracks, fractures, or chips. Left side of base with some flaking to patination. Overall with minor oxidation, especially to crevices between figures. Two small and minor abrasions to shoulder of back right figure, one 20mm and one 9mm. Back left figure with globular area of white to chest, likely oxidation, approximately 10mm. Surface with minor scattered scratches commensurate with handling. Under black light examination, no apparent repairs.
