- Lot Description
Richard MacDonald (American, b. 1946), "The Flair"-1996, patinated bronze, inscribed, dated and signed to black stone base "To Jennifer R. MacDonald 7.12.96", signed to sculpture "R. MacDonald '95". Figural sculpture depicting male gymnast on ring with full weight supported on muscular right arm, with tapered circular black stone base. Overall approximately 20.5" x 6.25" x 15.25". Note: Richard MacDonald is a west coast based sculpture artist known for hi figurative work. The lot is a smaller version of a public piece produced by the artist for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. The piece symbolizes triumph of the human spirit.
Condition
Overall excellent condition. Extremely minor scuffing to surface. No losses or damage observed.
