- Lot Description
Renaissance style stained mahogany bedstead, the headboard with continuous dentil molding and projecting corners over a paneled frieze cared with rinceau on a stippled ground above a large centered foliate medallion, the shaped footboard with foliate finials over a centered cherubic mask flanked to each side by pierced carved scrolled acanthus, raised on paw feet. Headboard height 67", width 71.75", depth 5.25". Footboard height 40.5".
Condition
Structurally sound. Crack on frieze running horizontal (see image #9). Missing toe on front right paw (see image #7). Missing toenail on back right paw.
