• Lot Description

  English, 20th century incorporating older 19th century elements. A charming Regency style burl walnut veneer secretaire bookcase having gilt metal pinecone finials over a pair of glazed doors opening to an adjustable three shelved interior flanked by simulated bamboo pilasters, the base with secretaire hinged top drawer inset with gilt tooled green leather writing surface and fitted with an arrangement of five pigeonholes over five small drawers above a pair of a paneled cupboard doors having decorative acorn corners enclosing a single shelf on turned feet. Remnants of old sticker on the back "Pantechnicon Stores, BEDFORD". Approximate height 93", width 46", depth 22.25".
