- Lot Description
Chinese, Ming Dynasty(1368–1644) or Southern Song Dynasty(1127-1279). Extremely rare 'Twin Fish' Longquan charger or large bowl, the interior centered with two fish in high relief with their scales and fins well defined, the blue glaze to both the interior the exterior stopping evenly just short of the foot rim. Height 2.25", diameter 12.9".
Provenance: The consignor's mother began collecting Chinese antiquities back in the 1960's. The majority of her collection was acquired from her great paternal grandparents who were from the China city of Guangzhou, in the province of Guangdong.
