- Lot Description
Radcliffe Bailey (American / Georgia, 1968-2023). "The Magic City" - 1994, Mixed media assemblage (door, carpet, beeswax, dried flowers, iron brands, collage, tar, photographs, acrylic on wood). An important early large work by the iconic Southern African American artist.

Structurally stable, faded writing to black squares. Wear, drip accretions, paint loss, cracks, scratches, and dings all presumably in keeping with the artist working method. Examined under blacklight with no apparent inpainting.
