R. Wallace & Sons Manufacturing Company (American (Connecticut), named as such in 1871, renamed in 1956), likely late 19th century. A sterling silver pocket flask of ovoid form with bas relief repousse and chased decoration to each side depicting drinking or drunken monks set before whisky barrels in an interior, the flask with attached twist off silver cap. Impressed maker's mark to underside beside "STERLING" and "80". Approximate height 5.5", width 3". Approximate weight 3.3 troy ounces.
Overall with minor surface scratches commensurate with handling. Extremely minor scattered pitting throughout. Attached cap with fleabites commensurate with contact with bottle, cap locking mechanism worn such that cap does not close securely.
