Pre Columbian pottery handled bowl or dipper with large bowl form basin with three diminutive bird head mounts on top of saw tooth rim, exterior of bowl with vertical scarification ornament connected to tapered handle with four pierced slits terminating on reptilian animal head with alert open eyes and teeth claped around double headed animal form resting on top of face. Unmarked. Approximate height 3.7", width 14.4", diameter of bowl form 7.4".
There are four visible repairs to the basin of the large dipper. The repair looks to be professional. The rest of the piece looks to not have any other restorations or alterations. We are uncertain as to what region this item is originally from.
