Benjamin Moore (American, b. 1952), circa 1980. A blown glass bowl from the 'Palla' series having ruby or cranberry lip over a colorless bulbous body resting on a orange colored hemispheric foot. Inscribed on the rim of foot 'Benjamin Moore, Pilchuck, '80'. Glass is accompanied with a 'Statement of Value' from Benjamin Moore, Inc, dated July 19, 2012 in the amount of $5,000. Approximate height 6.5", diameter of mouth 4.6". Note: Benjamin Moore has been a designer for the Venini Studio in Murano, Italy, on the faculty of the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, Massachusetts, and served as both a faculty member and Trustee Board Member at the Pilchuck Glass School.
Overall very good condition. Minor surface scratches to interior of bowl commensurate with usage. Included small air bubbles (under surface). Interior of foot rim with rough edge and scratches commensurate with age and contact with surface.
