American, first half of 20th century (circa 1939). Philco walnut cased Model 39-55 tube radio stereo and "Mystery" remote control. Model 39-55 radio stereo with AM receiver and rectangular body. "Mystery" remote of modern form with round bakelite dial akin to rotary phone surrounded by copper dial. Each component marked "PHILCO", back of stereo with model number. Approximate height 36.5", width 34.5", depth 14.5".
Electrical cord has some fraying and therefore has not been plugged into outlet. Minor surface scratches. Circular tape residue to top back right. Couple of minor scuffs to the sides. Veneer is cracking slightly. There is flecks of white paint on the mystery remote.
