- Lot Description
Peter Max (American, b. 1937-), "The Room" from "The Pique Dame Suite"-1979, color lithograph embellished with colored pencil on wove paper, pencil signed lower right and limited edition numbered in pencil lower left "21/280". Modern art print depicting a dreamscape with cat sleeping on a orange stool at right resting atop green grass, its dream depicted in the blue sky above with a cat flying amid stylized blocky clouds. Stamp to verso of structure "Benjamin's Works of Art, 427 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, New York 14222". Framed approximately 23" x 18.75". Sheet size 13.875" x 9.875" .
Condition
Overall in excellent condition. Examined out of the frame. No apparent toning or mat burn. Slight bend at lower right corner from handling. Attached to top of mat with two pieces of hinging tape. No apparent rips, abrasions, or losses.
