- Lot Description
Manner of Sevres Porcelain Factory (French, founded 1740), 20th century. A matched pair of palatial porcelain urns, both in campana form and decorated with parcel gilt and cobalt ground, having green and red enamel decoration to the rolled lip; each painted to both sides with historical French landmarks, the sides with mask handles raised on a turned socle painted with berried laurel and terminating on a gold enameled plinth. Marked to the underside with painted double Louis. Approximate height 18.25", diameter of mouth 15.37", base width 8.62", base depth 8.62". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Ms. Peggy Woodruff of Atlanta, Georgia and Highlands, North Carolina.
Condition
One urn with gilt loss to rim/mouth. Minor scratches to base. No visible signs or other damage or repairs.
