Moser (Bohemian, founded 1857), late 19th century. A fine pair of palatial size trumpet and baluster form footed vases, the cranberry glass heavily decorated in gilt enamel simulating stipple ground and stylized leafy foliage emanating from thin branches. Both vases centered with an oval mounted porcelain hand painted plaque depicting two playful putti; on one vase the putti are draped in a pink cloak and appear to be seated on a cloud; the second vase with putto holding up a yellow cloak while the other winged putto clasps a vine of grapes. Both vases on turned inverted glass foot. Both vases signed on bottom Moser. Approximate height 19.8", base diameter 4.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Overall very good condition. Gilt enamel wear to the rims of mouth. Minimal wear to the gilt painted leafy foliage. No chips, cracks or repairs noted to either vase.
