Palatial 12 light Louis XVI style gilt bronze wall sconce from the old Palmer House Hotel, Chicago, with urn and flambeau finial encircled by 4 trumpeting acanthus scrolled candlearms above 8 matching candlearms issued from three ram's masks united by a draping garland swag on a turned, tapered and fluted shaft, the upper backplate modeled as trumpeting acanthus, the lower plate supported with scrolled acanthus arm, decorated with patera and terminating in an artichoke finial. Electrified. Height 82", width 14.5", depth 16". Provenance: Former catcher with the Chicago Cubs and one of Nashville's most prolific restaurateurs.
Very good condition. Minimal wear or oxidation to surface. All candlearms retain original simulated wax sleeves.
