- Lot Description
Likely Chinese, 20th century. A mirrored pair of large carved stone garden or entryway musical Buddhist Lohans, each standing in full length with serene face and elongated earlobes, dressed in monastic robes and clutching a flute with both hands holding up to the lips as if in play, the robes completely concealing the feet and mounted on a rectangular plinth base. Approximate height 47.75", base width 10.62", base depth 7".
Condition
Overall in very good condition. Each lohan with a small chip to front of robe at edge near knee area - not readily noticeable or distracting. 1 figure with chip to front left corner of plinth base. Each with rubbing to back side of structure commensurate with rubbing against a wall during typical use. Each apparently without any cracks or structural faults.
