Probably Irish, circa 1820s. Matched pair of Regency cut glass and gilt bronze twin light candelabra's both having a gilt bronze acorn finial over a standard of gilt bronze floral and acanthus scrolls supporting the fan cut bobeches having twelve hanging pendants comprising two faceted drops and an elongated faceted prism, the bobeches fitted with gilt metal shaft issuing the candlecup with fan over a rotated stepped cut and diamond point bowl, the central baluster form stem with rotated stepped cut over a diamond point cutting on a radiating feather pattern base. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 12.8”, width 9.12”, diameter of base 3.75
Both candelabras structurally sound. Minor oxidation to gilt bronze. Both candelabras with minor flea bites and/or minute chips to the fan cut rims and diamond points observable with loop. One candle cup with old interior repair; does not respond to blacklight. Some prisms with damage at very bottom tips from contact with other prisms. Both candelabras are very sharp and all issues are commensurate with age and usage. None of the above mentioned are distracting.
