- Lot Description
Tuscany Studios (American (Chicago), 20th century). A pair of palatial Dionysian tub form cast stone jardinieres or planters with a frieze of winged and wingless putti at center dancing amid foliage, with foliate bands above and below, and solid bands to root and rim. Marked to interior of each "Tuscany Studios / Chicago". Approximate height 20.25", diameter of top 29.25".
Condition
Overall good condition. There are three drain plugs to the interior of each planter. There are scattered chips and flakes with losses to interior. Minor hairline fractures to exterior as well as interior. Apparent seam to the exterior of each planter.
