American, early 20th century. Pair of opposing right and left chaise lounges, recamiers or fainting couches, each having a scrolled upholstered back and outscrolled end over padded, slightly bowfront seat and raised on front Marlborough legs and back raking legs all united by a recessed box stretcher base. Both recently recovered in dark gray and white floral fabric. Approximate height 35.5", width 48", seat depth 21", seat height 18.5".
Both lounges are structurally sound and in very good condition. There is minor chipping to the wood frame particularly on the base of legs as would be expected with age and usage. Upholstery is clean with no rips, tears, stains or odors.
