- Lot Description
Possibly French, late 19th century. A matched pair of Louis XVI style rosewood and gilt metal mounted twin beds having an arched headboard centered with a scrolled ribbon tied berried laurel and acorn with oak leaf cresting flanked by foliate finials over applied gilt metal anthemion and ribbon tied floral swag above a beaded panel enclosing the paneled headboard with applied water leaf banding. The footboard decorated en suite with applied ribbon tied floral swags to the exterior, joined by siderails, resting on toupie feet. Approximate height 5" width 43.25". Interior width 77", depth 38.75".
