- Lot Description
Continental, probably Italian, 20th century. Matched pair of large paint decorated wrought iron wall sconces, modeled as a tied cluster of seven scrolling branches each surmounted with seven candlecups and faux waxed candle sleeves and terminating in scrolled cluster. Approximate heigh 62", width 33", depth 18".
Condition
Dirt and grime to exterior throughout--would likely benefit from professional cleaning. Paint loss scattered throughout, predominately on top ridge and edges. Likely re-painted or finished. Remnants of gilt and evidence of cracquelure on candle cups. A few candle cups appear to be tilted. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
