- Lot Description
Chinese, 20th century. A very fine pair of monumental blue and white porcelain vases of baluster form with gilt bronze accent and base, topped at mouth with gilt bronze pierced lappet border accented by leaves and berries, each vase with depictions of outdoor scenes with peonies and phoenix birds, each base of gilt bronze with leaf and berry swags over four scrolled acanthus feet, apparently unmarked. Approximate height 27", diameter at mouth 10.5".
Condition
Repair to lip of one, with discoloration to repair. Fleabites overall, with some small abrasions and surface accretions overall. Epoxy accretions to base to adhere to bases. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
