Chinese, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Pair of large matching famille rose porcelain floor vases with flared rims above necks decorated with hand painted figural medallions with children playing (lighting firecrackers and holding peony flower, pagoda, and white crane festival lanterns). Bodies of vases with two larger medallions or cartouches surrounded by cobalt blue: one side with children playing in a celebratory manner in an outdoor fenced garden setting, adult man at center with gong, the other side with children running with dragon form kite and holding other lanterns. Unmarked. Approximate height 42.5", diameter of top 15.5". Base diameter 11".
