Italian, 20th century. A matched pair of Rococo style parcel gilt and and polychrome decorated bookcases, each with arched top and foliate carved cresting over a cartouche shaped superstructure having three tapering open shelves, the case with serpentine molded top over a conforming single frieze drawer and scroll carved apron raised on molded cabriole legs. Approximate height 72.8", width 28.6", depth 17.5".
Both pieces are in overall very good condition. Both are structurally sound; one has a very slight wobble. Both pieces show minor chipping to finish with some chipping to the toes. There is a minor stain, possible water ring, to the top on one piece.
