Italian, 20th century. A pair of tall carved giltwood wall sconces topped with bow form finial, shaft with crossed ripping ribbon motif, body with leafy foliage topped with high-relief florettes, surmounted by two scrolled gilt metal arms adorned with dimensional leaves, each arm terminating in a partially gadrooned candle cup. Approximate height 21.5", width 7.5".
Overall in very good condition. No apparent cracks or major gilt losses - one small chip to top of one sconce on a bow loop. Candle cups with some wax residue to interior. Some gesso show through to verso of sconces - likely from rubbing on wall. Iron candle arms slightly loose from sconce body - can be tightened via the screw at back.
