- Lot Description
French, 19th century. Pair of French Louis XV style paint and parcel gilt decorated fauteuils each with floral carved crest rail above a padded cartouche shaped backrest continuing to padded scrolled arms over a serpentine carved seatrail centered with carved flowerheads raised on cabriole legs with foliate carved knees terminating in foliate toes. Height 40", width 25" (arm to arm), seat depth 21", seat height 16".
Condition
Crestrail is slightly loose on one fauteuil. Both are structurally sound. Both have minimal wear to painted finish, commensurate with age.
