French, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Pair of Gien faience lidded flower separator jardinieres of demilune form with artichoke form finial at to above gadrooned dome with transferware bands of multi colored flowers and insects flanking pierced circles for displaying flowers above lower section with similar motif and handling. Squared handles on sides, overall raised on three feet, front with scrolled motif. Marked on bottom with manufacturer's mark. Approximate height 11", width 7.9", depth 4.25".
One jardiniere with a chip to the back of lid along rim, one very small hole at back center. Also a chip to the backside of the handle. The other jardiniere with discoloration under the glaze on one handle. Both jardinieres with some crazing and a couple of small minute flea bites, not obvious or distracting.
