French, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Pair of Empire style gilt bronze three light candelabra, later converted into electrified table lamps with two Leviton lamp sockets in bypass composition above lamp base with standing man (woman on other) as central finial above a fluted columnar shaft flanked by leaves and berries on reeded scrolled arms terminating on leaf shaped wax guards below textured candle cups with triangular leaf tip motif, additional leaf and berry ornament on borders of domed circular foot, draped chains on body, supported on later base. Lamps with cream colored fabric covered flared shade. Overall approximate height 23", diameter of base 4.9".
Overall very good condition. Both lamps are in working condition. Minor scattered pitting and oxidation to the finish. Small crack on tip of candlesleeve. Socle with very minor scuffs and scratches commensurate with age and usage.
