French, late 19th century. A pair of gilt and patinated bronze figural six light candelabras, both converted to lamps, one modeled as a patinated boy holding a spyglass, the other a young girl reading, each seated on a naturalistic base issuing upwards a cluster of ormolu bouquet of flowers, leaves, and buds supporting removable candle cups and leafy bobeches, along with recent addition of a twin socket lamp standard, the whole resting on an oval base with floral garland swags, scrolling acanthus and classical devices, on toupie feet. Approximate height 43", height without lamp standard 29", width 18".
