English, 19th century. A matched and fine pair of Regency style giltwood carved wall mirrors both having a pierced carved cresting centered with fruit filled urn flanked by scrolling acanthus and winged sphinx or harpie over an egg and dart molding and rectangular mirror plate, the sides carved with scrolling grapes and leaves, the base with egg and dart molding centered with flaming urn. Height 67", width 36", depth 2.25".
Both mirrors structurally sound and able to hang. Both mirrors with scattered chips and losses of gilt. Carved elements are in very good condition. Both Mirror plates have been replaced with blocks added to the back of each for stability.
